Obstetrics & Gynaecology locum doctor position at Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £60–£70/hr assignment rate.
Ad hoc night on-call cover in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Craigavon Area Hospital, within the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This locum shift runs from 20:30 to 09:00, providing registrar-level labour ward cover, emergency obstetric and gynaecological assessments, and supporting the consultant on-call rota throughout the night.
The role involves managing the labour ward as the senior registrar overnight, conducting emergency deliveries including instrumental births and emergency caesarean sections, triaging and assessing acute gynaecological presentations through the emergency department, and providing timely escalation to the consultant on-call for high-risk cases. You will work alongside SHO-level medical staff and experienced midwifery teams in a busy district general hospital setting.
Candidates must hold ST3+ level training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, current GMC registration with a licence to practise, valid right to work in the United Kingdom, and up-to-date AccessNI clearance. The assignment rate is £50 per hour.
