Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Locum Consultant in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine for the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH), Belfast, on behalf of Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This is a fixed-term locum assignment commencing August 2026 for up to 3 months initially (pending Trust recruitment), at a £100–£110/hr assignment rate.
The RVH requires a fully qualified consultant with dual competencies in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine. The post includes: 2 general gastroenterology outpatient clinics per week, 2 mixed endoscopy sessions per week (upper GI and colonoscopy), inpatient cover of general medical patients including acute medical take cover (1 in 6 rota), out-of-hours general medicine cover (1 in 7 rota), and inpatient gastroenterology consults at Mater Infirmorum Hospital (1 in 4). JAG Full Certification in both Upper GI Endoscopy and Colonoscopy is mandatory.
