Grayscale Medical is seeking an experienced Specialty Trainee (ST3+) in General Medicine for a locum placement with Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. This is a day-shift position running from November 2026 to February 2027, offering an assignment rate of £60 per hour.
This General Medicine locum role is based within the acute medical services at one of Belfast's major HSC hospitals. The successful candidate will join a busy medical team providing care across a range of general medical presentations, including acute admissions, ward-based management, and outpatient review. You will be expected to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contribute to medical take, manage inpatient caseloads, and support junior colleagues. Experience in acute and general internal medicine at ST3 level or above is essential.
The role requires participation in the day-shift rota and may include some on-call cover depending on departmental needs. Candidates should be confident in managing acutely unwell patients, performing common medical procedures, and making independent clinical decisions appropriate to their grade.
