Core Trainee - Oncology

Oncology locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £50–£55/hr assignment rate.

Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Foundation Year 2 or IMT-level Doctor for locum day shifts in Oncology at Belfast City Hospital, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This is a Monday to Friday block from 12th to 16th October 2026, at the £50/hr assignment rate.

The Oncology department at Belfast City Hospital is managing a high volume of outlier patients and requires additional junior medical support. You will be providing ward-based medical care to oncology inpatients and outliers, assisting with acute assessments, managing symptom control, coordinating with the multidisciplinary team, and supporting safe patient flow during a period of increased ward demand.

The department seeks a doctor who can ideally cover all five weekday shifts to provide continuity of care. Experience in acute medicine, oncology, or haematology is beneficial. Candidates must hold valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, professional indemnity insurance, and a minimum of 2 professional references.
