Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Foundation Year 2 Doctor for a locum assignment in Nephrology at Belfast City Hospital, part of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This is a 5-month placement from December 2026 to April 2027, offering £50/hr assignment rate.
This is an F2-level position covering F1 duties on a mixed specialty rota. The role involves cross-covering out-of-hours Haematology, Oncology, and Nephrology wards. You will be managing acute medical admissions, providing ward-based care for renal patients, supporting oncology and haematology inpatients during on-call periods, and participating in the junior doctor rota at Belfast City Hospital.
The department requires a minimum of 6 months paid clinical experience in a UK hospital setting. Clinical attachments are not accepted for this post. Candidates must have documented competency in acute medical assessment, fluid management, and common medical emergencies.
Requirements include valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, professional indemnity insurance, and a minimum of 2 professional references. Foundation Year 2 doctors or equivalent with experience in general medicine are encouraged to apply.
