Locum Consultant Urologist required at Craigavon Area Hospital, part of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This is a one-week on-call assignment covering 17-24 September 2026 at an assignment rate of £100/hr.
The Urology Department at Craigavon Area Hospital requires consultant-level on-call cover for a 7-day block. Shifts include a mix of overnight on-call (17:00-09:00) and 24-hour weekend cover (09:00-09:00). The role involves providing senior decision-making for acute urological presentations, emergency theatre lists, ward referrals, and telephone advice to the on-call SHO team.
Craigavon Area Hospital is the main acute surgical site for the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, serving a population of approximately 382,000 across Armagh, Dungannon, and the greater Craigavon area. The Urology department provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including emergency stone management, urological oncology, and complex catheter care.
Candidates must be on the GMC Specialist Register in Urology or hold a CESR, have the right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, and professional indemnity insurance. Independent consultant-level urology experience is essential.
