Locum Foundation Year 2 Doctor in General Medicine (Endocrinology & Diabetes ward) required at Craigavon Area Hospital, part of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This is a multi-week daytime assignment at an assignment rate of £50/hr.
The 3 North Medical ward at Craigavon Area Hospital requires FY2/SHO level cover for regular weekday day shifts (09:00-17:00) across August and September 2026. The ward provides specialist endocrinology and diabetes inpatient care alongside general internal medicine. Duties include daily ward rounds, patient assessments, blood glucose management, medication reviews, discharge planning, and liaising with the diabetes specialist nursing team.
This is a consistent weekday locum opportunity with no on-call or night shifts required. The role suits doctors with general medical ward experience who are comfortable managing acute medical presentations in a busy district general hospital setting.
Candidates must hold GMC registration with a licence to practise, have the right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, and professional indemnity insurance. Experience in acute general medicine or endocrinology is desirable.
