Locum Core Trainee (SHO) position in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Daisy Hill Hospital, Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This is a twilight shift (17:00–21:15) providing cover within the O&G department.
The role involves supporting the obstetric and gynaecology team during the evening period, managing admissions to the labour ward, reviewing gynaecological emergencies, and providing clinical support to midwifery staff. You will assess patients presenting with early pregnancy complications, manage acute gynaecological presentations, and assist with emergency procedures as required.
Daisy Hill Hospital serves the Newry and Mourne area with a busy maternity unit. The O&G department provides comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological services including emergency cover.
Requirements: SHO/CT level training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or equivalent experience, valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, and professional indemnity insurance. ALSO/MRCOG Part 1 desirable.
