The Belfast Health and Social Care Trust is seeking a Consultant locum in Psychiatry of Old Age for an immediate start. This is a 10 PA (programmed activity) post for an initial period of 3 months, based at Knockbracken Healthcare Park, Belfast.
This is a full-time Consultant-level locum post in Psychiatry of Old Age (POA), covering the full range of old age psychiatric services within the Belfast HSCT Mental Health and CAMHS directorate. A fully compliant file is required as well as an accurately completed LD1 (Locum Descriptor form) for a doctor to be considered.
Pay rate £112/hr, reflecting Consultant-level HSC framework rates. Locum Consultant Psychiatry of Old Age positions in Belfast are in high demand and this opportunity offers excellent rates alongside exposure to a comprehensive community and inpatient old age mental health service.
Candidates must hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Psychiatry or equivalent, be on the Specialist Register, and hold a current GMC licence to practise. MRCPsych or equivalent is required. Encompass (HSC EPR) experience is advantageous.
Essential requirements: GMC specialist registration with licence to practise, CCT in Psychiatry (Old Age Psychiatry subspecialty preferred), AccessNI clearance, right to work in the UK, professional indemnity insurance, Section 12 approval, two current professional references in the specialty, and an accurately completed LD1 form.
