Psychiatry locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £100–£110/hr assignment rate.
Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Consultant Psychiatrist for the Acute Mental Health Inpatient Centre (AMHIC) at Belfast City Hospital. This full-time locum assignment pays £100/hr assignment rate for an initial 3-month period.
The role covers the AMHIC unit, requiring full on-site shift work — remote working is not available for this position. You will provide consultant-level psychiatric care across the acute mental health inpatient service, managing complex presentations including psychosis, affective disorders, and acute behavioural disturbance. The post is 10 PAs per week (negotiable on request).
Candidates must be fully compliant with the Belfast HSC Trust locum framework. Experience in acute inpatient psychiatry and crisis management is preferred. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based care in an acute setting.
Requirements: GMC registration with licence to practise and specialist registration in Psychiatry, right to work in the UK, DBS/AccessNI clearance, professional indemnity insurance, and 2 professional references.
