Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Consultant Psychiatrist for a locum assignment at the Bluestone Unit, part of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This community-based role covers Cloughmore Ward within the Mental Health and Disability directorate, offering weekday shifts (09:00–17:00) from late September through early October 2026 at a £100/hr assignment rate.
The successful candidate will provide consultant-level psychiatric care to inpatients on Cloughmore Ward, managing acute presentations, conducting ward rounds, reviewing medication plans, and liaising with multidisciplinary teams including nursing staff, occupational therapists, and social workers. The role sits within the CBC Medical Staffing Psychiatry Department and requires confident independent decision-making in a community mental health setting.
Candidates must hold full GMC registration with a licence to practise and be on the Specialist Register for Psychiatry. A valid right to work in the UK, current DBS/AccessNI clearance, and professional indemnity insurance are required. Experience in community psychiatry or inpatient mental health settings is essential.
