Grayscale Medical is seeking a Core Trainee or Foundation Year 2 Doctor for urgent locum night shifts in General Surgery at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. These are overnight shifts on 7th and 8th October 2026, running from 20:00 to 08:30, at the £50/hr assignment rate.
The Royal Victoria Hospital is a major tertiary centre providing emergency and elective surgical services across Belfast. You will be providing overnight surgical cover, managing acute surgical admissions, assessing post-operative patients, and escalating concerns to senior colleagues. The role requires competence in the initial assessment and management of common surgical emergencies, wound care, and fluid management.
Candidates must hold valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, professional indemnity insurance, and a minimum of 2 professional references. CT1-3 or F2-level doctors with surgical experience are encouraged to apply.
