General Medicine locum doctor position at Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £60–£70/hr assignment rate.
Grayscale Medical is seeking a Specialty Trainee (ST4+ level) in General Internal Medicine for a long-term locum assignment at Daisy Hill Hospital within Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This is an extensive placement running from July 2026 through November 2026, with regular weekday day shifts (08:00-16:30 or 08:30-16:30).
The successful candidate will work within the Department of General Medicine providing medical cover across the medical assessment unit and general medical wards. You will manage acute medical admissions, participate in ward rounds, review and manage inpatients, and contribute to the on-call medical rota as required.
This is an excellent opportunity for a specialty trainee or equivalent seeking consistent, long-term locum work in general medicine within a busy district general hospital setting. Daisy Hill Hospital serves the Newry and Mourne population and provides a wide range of acute medical services.
Requirements include valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date AccessNI clearance, professional indemnity insurance, and a minimum of 2 professional references. Experience at ST3+ level in general internal medicine is essential.
