Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Foundation Year 2 Doctor in General Medicine for a locum position with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust, based at Causeway Hospital, Coleraine. This is a day shift role at an assignment rate of £50.00 per hour, starting December 2026.
The successful candidate will work within the General Medicine department at Causeway Hospital, managing acute medical admissions and providing ward-based care across a broad range of general medical conditions. Typical responsibilities include clerking and assessing acute admissions, daily ward rounds, requesting and interpreting investigations, liaising with specialty teams, and contributing to safe and timely patient discharge. The post offers excellent exposure to acute and general internal medicine in a supportive district general hospital setting.
You will be part of a structured medical team working under consultant supervision, with opportunities to develop clinical skills across respiratory medicine, gastroenterology, cardiology, and diabetes management as they present on the acute take and general wards.
