Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Consultant in Palliative Medicine for a locum assignment at Craigavon Area Hospital, part of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This is a weekday assignment from 30 September to 2 November 2026, working 09:00–17:00, at a £100/hr assignment rate.
The successful candidate will provide consultant-level palliative care cover within the CAH Palliative Care department, under the Division of Surgery and Clinical Services. The role involves managing a caseload of patients requiring specialist palliative and end-of-life care, working alongside the existing multidisciplinary team. You will be expected to lead ward rounds, provide specialist advice to referring teams, and contribute to the ongoing care of patients with complex symptom management needs.
Requirements include GMC registration with a licence to practise at consultant level, specialist registration in Palliative Medicine, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, and professional indemnity insurance. Experience working in an HSC or NHS palliative care setting is essential.
