Ad hoc daytime trauma and orthopaedics cover at Craigavon Area Hospital, part of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland. This locum shift runs from 07:00 to 18:00, providing ST3+ registrar-level support within the orthopaedic department.
Responsibilities include covering elective orthopaedic theatre lists and trauma operating sessions, performing morning and evening ward rounds on orthopaedic inpatients, managing fracture clinic patients, and conducting emergency trauma assessments for patients referred from the emergency department. The role forms part of the Division of Surgery and Clinical Services at Craigavon, one of the Southern Trust's principal acute hospital sites.
Candidates must hold ST3+ training in Trauma and Orthopaedics, current GMC registration with a licence to practise, valid right to work in the United Kingdom, and current AccessNI clearance. The assignment rate is £50 per hour.
