Orthopaedics locum doctor position at Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £60–£70/hr assignment rate.
Ad hoc daytime trauma and orthopaedics cover at Craigavon Area Hospital, part of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This locum shift runs from 07:00 to 18:00, providing ST3+ registrar-level cover across the Division of Surgery and Clinical Services.
The successful candidate will support elective orthopaedic theatre lists and trauma theatre sessions, conduct orthopaedic ward rounds, attend fracture clinic, and assess emergency trauma presentations through the emergency department. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside consultant orthopaedic surgeons, junior medical staff, physiotherapists, and nursing teams in a high-volume district general hospital.
This role requires ST3+ training in Trauma and Orthopaedics, current GMC registration with a licence to practise, valid right to work in the United Kingdom, and up-to-date AccessNI clearance. The assignment rate is £50 per hour.
