Orthopaedics locum doctor position at Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £60–£70/hr assignment rate.
Ad hoc daytime trauma and orthopaedics cover at Craigavon Area Hospital within the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This locum shift runs from 07:00 to 18:00, providing registrar-level cover at ST3+ grade across the trauma and orthopaedic service.
Duties include assisting on elective orthopaedic operating lists, managing trauma theatre cases, conducting morning and afternoon ward rounds on orthopaedic inpatients, running fracture clinic assessments, and reviewing emergency trauma admissions from the emergency department. The role sits within the Division of Surgery and Clinical Services, working closely with consultant surgeons, junior doctors, allied health professionals, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Candidates must have ST3+ training in Trauma and Orthopaedics, current GMC registration with a licence to practise, valid right to work in the United Kingdom, and current AccessNI clearance. The assignment rate is £50 per hour.
