Obstetrics & Gynaecology locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £60–£70/hr assignment rate.
Locum Specialty Trainee (ST5+) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology required at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, based at the Royal Jubilee Maternity Service (RJMS) and Belfast City Hospital (BCH). This is a full rota assignment at £50/hr assignment rate, starting immediately for an initial 3-month period with a view to extension.
The successful candidate will join the O&G department on a full rota basis covering days, long days, nights, and weekends. You must adhere to the departmental rota shifts, swaps, and leave processes. This role requires a minimum of 6 months' UK experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, along with recent scanning experience. The position involves providing care across both the RJMS and BCH sites within the Belfast HSC Trust.
Candidates must hold a minimum of ST5-level training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, valid GMC registration with a licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, and professional indemnity insurance. Additional mandatory training includes BMJ Hyponatraemia awareness, Right Patient Right Blood modules (Blood Components and Indications for Use, Safe Transfusion Practice, Consent for Transfusion), and practical competencies in obtaining venous samples for pre-transfusion testing and preparing/administering blood component transfusions. A fully completed LD1 form and complete documentation pack as per the HSC Framework Contract are required.
