General Medicine locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £60–£70/hr assignment rate.
Grayscale Medical is seeking an IMT3+ or ST3+ level doctor for a locum night shift in General Medicine (STR) at the Mater Infirmorum Hospital, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This shift covers Saturday 6th September 2026, 21:00 to 09:30 on 7th September.
The Mater's Medical STR rota provides overnight senior medical cover. You will manage the acute medical take, review deteriorating ward patients, make independent clinical decisions, liaise with the consultant on call, and supervise junior team members overnight. The Mater handles a high volume of acute medical admissions covering respiratory, cardiology, gastroenterology, and general internal medicine.
Candidates must hold valid GMC registration with licence to practise at IMT3/ST3 level or above, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, and professional indemnity insurance. Confident independent management of the acute medical take is essential.
