Core Trainee - General Medicine (Craigavon Night Shifts)

Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Core Trainee (SHO) level doctor for locum night shifts in General Medicine at Craigavon Area Hospital, Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This assignment covers four consecutive night shifts from Sunday 7th to Thursday 11th September 2026, 21:00 to 09:30.

Craigavon Area Hospital's Medicine department manages a wide range of acute medical admissions and inpatient care. As the overnight SHO, you will assess new medical admissions, manage acutely unwell ward patients, perform clinical procedures including blood gases, lumbar punctures, and chest drains as needed, and escalate to the registrar and consultant on call. The department covers general internal medicine with subspecialty input from respiratory, cardiology, gastroenterology, and endocrinology teams.

Candidates must hold valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, and professional indemnity insurance. SHO/CT-level experience in acute general medicine with confidence in overnight working is essential.
