Grayscale Medical is seeking an IMT3+ or ST3+ level doctor for a locum night shift in General Medicine (STR) at the Mater Infirmorum Hospital, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This shift covers Friday 5th September 2026, 21:00 to 09:30 on 6th September.
The Mater's Medical STR (Specialist Trainee Registrar) rota provides overnight medical cover for the hospital, managing acute medical admissions, deteriorating patients, and ward referrals. You will work as the senior decision-maker overnight, liaising with the consultant on call, managing the medical take, reviewing acutely unwell patients, and supervising junior colleagues.
Candidates must hold valid GMC registration with licence to practise at IMT3/ST3 level or above, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, and professional indemnity insurance. Substantial experience in acute general medicine and confidence managing the medical take independently is essential.
