Locum Specialty Trainee (IMT3+/ST3+) position in General Medicine at the Mater Infirmorum Hospital, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. £50/hr assignment rate.
The Medicine department at the Mater is seeking an experienced Specialty Trainee to provide cover on the Medical Registrar rota. This is a series of on-call and twilight shifts spanning September 2026 through to February 2027, covering both night on-calls (21:00–09:30) and evening twilights (17:00–21:30).
The successful candidate will work as part of the acute medical take team, managing unselected medical admissions, providing senior decision-making on the acute medical unit, and supporting junior doctors on the ward. You will be expected to liaise with consultants, coordinate patient flow, and manage acutely unwell patients across the medical wards.
Specific shift dates include nights on 4–6 September, 17 and 27 November, 9 and 17 December 2026, and multiple dates in January and February 2027. Twilight shifts are also available on select weekday evenings.
