General Medicine locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £50–£55/hr assignment rate.
Locum Core Trainee (CT/F2/IMT/ST/GP level) required for GI and Hepatology weekend cover at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. Recurring weekend shifts from November 2026 through January 2027 at an assignment rate of £50/hr.
This is a regular weekend rota covering the GI/Hepatology service at the RVH. Shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 08:00–16:00, providing continuity of care for gastroenterology and hepatology inpatients over weekends. Additional holiday cover is included over the Christmas and New Year period (25 Dec 2026 – 3 Jan 2027).
You will be responsible for ward rounds, reviewing new admissions, managing ongoing inpatient care, liaising with the on-call gastroenterology SpR, and escalating as needed. Experience in general medicine with exposure to GI presentations is desirable.
Candidates must hold valid GMC registration with a licence to practise, up-to-date AccessNI clearance, right to work in the UK, and a minimum of two professional references.
