Locum Consultant in General Internal Medicine required at Craigavon Area Hospital, part of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This is a daytime shift (08:30–16:30) within the Medicine and Unscheduled Care directorate, supporting the acute medical take and inpatient ward cover.
The successful candidate will provide senior medical decision-making on the Acute Medical Unit and general medicine wards. Responsibilities include ward rounds, clerking acute admissions, liaising with specialty teams, and supervising junior medical staff. The department handles a broad case mix including respiratory, cardiovascular, gastroenterological, and endocrine presentations.
Requirements: GMC registration with licence to practise at Consultant level, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, professional indemnity insurance, and minimum 2 professional references. Experience in acute general internal medicine is essential.
