Foundation Year 2 Doctor - Cardiology

Cardiology locum doctor position at Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £50–£55/hr assignment rate.

Grayscale Medical is recruiting an FY2-level locum doctor for a Cardiology assignment at Craigavon Area Hospital, part of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This long-term locum covers weekday day shifts (09:00–17:00) across October 2026 at a £50/hr assignment rate.

Based on 1 North Ward within the Medicine and Unscheduled Care directorate, you will manage cardiology inpatients under consultant supervision. Daily duties include ward rounds, clerking admissions, requesting and interpreting ECGs, echocardiograms, and bloods, managing chest pain pathways, heart failure treatment, arrhythmia monitoring, and liaising with the catheterisation lab and cardiac specialist nurses. There are opportunities to attend cardiology outpatient clinics and gain procedural experience.

Candidates must hold GMC registration with a licence to practise at FY2 level or above, a valid right to work in the UK, current DBS/AccessNI clearance, and at least two professional references. An interest in cardiology or acute medicine is desirable.
