Psychiatry locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £100–£110/hr assignment rate.
Locum Consultant Psychiatrist required for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This is a part-time assignment (2 days per week, 09:00–17:00) for an initial period of 3 months, at the £100/hr assignment rate.
The successful candidate will provide consultant-level psychiatric care within the Belfast CAMHS service, undertaking clinical assessments, managing complex cases, and providing specialist input for children and young people with mental health difficulties. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary CAMHS team including psychologists, nurses, social workers, and therapists.
CAMHS presentations typically include anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, ASD, self-harm, eating disorders, and early-onset psychosis. The consultant will lead on clinical decision-making, risk assessment, and treatment planning within their allocated clinic sessions.
Files forwarded must be fully compliant with the Belfast Trust framework and accompanied by an accurately completed LD1 form. Files that do not meet this criteria will not be considered.
Requirements: Valid GMC registration with licence to practise on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, professional indemnity insurance, minimum 2 professional references.
