Specialty Trainee (ST4+) - Paediatric Emergency Department (RBHSC)

Paediatrics locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £60–£70/hr assignment rate.

Locum Specialty Trainee (ST4+) position in the Paediatric Emergency Department at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children (RBHSC), part of Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This is a 3-month full shift rota assignment at £50/hr assignment rate, starting 5th August 2026.

The department requires an experienced ST4+ doctor with a minimum of 6 months experience in Paediatrics as an ST3+ specifically in Paediatric ED. You will work a full shift rota covering the busy paediatric emergency department at Northern Ireland's specialist children's hospital.

Candidates must hold valid GMC registration with licence to practise, have right to work in the UK, up-to-date AccessNI clearance, and provide evidence of completion of the following mandatory training: BMJ Hyponatraemia module, Right Patient Right Blood online modules (Blood Components and Indications for Use, Safe Transfusion Practice, Consent for Transfusion), and RPRB practical competencies (Competency 1 – Obtaining a Venous Sample for Pre-Transfusion Testing, Competency 4 – Preparing and Administering a Transfusion of a Blood Component).

A fully completed LD1 form and full documentation pack are required at submission — incomplete applications will not be considered by the department.
