Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Locum Consultant Neurosurgeon for an immediate-start, approximately 1-year engagement within the Regional Neurosurgery Department at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH), Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This is a senior NHS locum Neurosurgery post offering a £100–£110/hr assignment rate.
The successful candidate will join the Regional Neurosurgery department at the RVH with a specialist interest in vascular and complex spine neurosurgery. The role encompasses the full range of general adult elective and emergency neurosurgical care, as well as emergency paediatric neurosurgical cover. The department requires high-quality locum Consultant cover to maintain the full service provision across this nationally significant regional centre.
Essential criteria: Full GMC registration with a licence to practise; Fellowship of a Royal College of Surgeons in the UK or equivalent qualification; entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Neurosurgery (via CCT — proposed date within 6 months of appointment — CESR, or European Community Rights); demonstrable skills in written and spoken English for effective communication with patients and colleagues; strong communication, reasoning, and teamworking skills.
