Grayscale Medical is seeking an experienced Consultant in General Surgery for a locum position at Causeway Hospital, Coleraine, within the Northern Health and Social Care Trust. This assignment runs from October 2026 to January 2027, offering an assignment rate of £100 per hour.
This General Surgery locum role involves providing consultant-level surgical care across elective and emergency general surgery services. You will be expected to manage a varied surgical caseload, lead ward rounds, support junior medical staff, and participate in the on-call rota. The department at Causeway Hospital serves a wide catchment area across the Northern Trust, and the successful candidate will work alongside a multidisciplinary surgical team.
Candidates must hold full GMC registration with a licence to practise and have substantial experience working at Consultant level in General Surgery. You must have right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, valid professional indemnity insurance, and a minimum of two professional references.
