Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Core Trainee (CT/F2 level) for a two-week locum assignment in General Medicine at the Mater Infirmorum Hospital (MIH), part of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This role covers weekday day shifts from 8:00 to 17:00 across Monday 7th December to Friday 18th December 2026, providing ward-based medical cover within the Unscheduled Care division.
The successful candidate will join the medicine team at the Mater, supporting inpatient ward rounds, clerking acute admissions, managing ongoing medical patients, and liaising with the multidisciplinary team. The Mater's medicine department handles a broad general medicine caseload including respiratory, gastroenterology, and elderly care patients. You will work under the supervision of consultant physicians and alongside the existing junior doctor rota.
This position is offered at the £50/hr assignment rate for CT/F2 grade locum doctors.
Requirements include valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, professional indemnity insurance, and a minimum of two professional references. Encompass training is desirable. Files must comply with the Belfast Trust Regional Framework.
