Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Middle Grade / Specialty Doctor for locum shifts in the Emergency Department and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) and Mater Infirmorum Hospital (MIH), Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This is an ongoing ad-hoc locum opportunity throughout November 2026, paying £60/hr assignment rate.
You will work as a Middle Grade doctor within the busy Emergency Department at the Royal Victoria Hospital — Northern Ireland's major trauma centre — and the Mater Infirmorum Hospital ED. The role involves assessing and managing undifferentiated emergency presentations, leading resuscitation scenarios, supervising junior trainees, and contributing to same-day emergency care pathways. A mix of day, evening, and night shifts are available. Multiple slots are available on many dates, reflecting the high demand for ED cover across the Belfast Trust.
