Emergency Medicine locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £50–£55/hr assignment rate.
Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Core Trainee (CT/F2 level) for urgent weekend Emergency Department locum cover across the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) and Mater Infirmorum Hospital (MIH) in Belfast, under the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This assignment covers the weekend of 25th–27th September 2026 with multiple shift patterns available including day, evening, and night cover.
The role requires working across both ED sites as part of the acute unscheduled care rota. Shifts include 14:00–22:00, 18:00–02:00, 22:00–08:00, and 08:00–16:00 patterns. You will be responsible for initial assessment and management of undifferentiated emergency presentations, working under the supervision of senior ED clinicians. The departments serve a large urban population across Belfast and handle high volumes of acute medical, surgical, and trauma presentations.
Candidates must hold valid GMC registration with a licence to practise, have a right to work in the UK, and hold current DBS/AccessNI clearance. Previous ED experience at CT/F2 level or above is essential. The £50/hr assignment rate applies.
