Obstetrics & Gynaecology locum doctor position at Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £60–£70/hr assignment rate.
Locum Specialty Trainee (ST3 level) required for the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at Daisy Hill Hospital, Southern Health and Social Care Trust. £50/hr assignment rate.
Multiple evening and night shifts available from mid-August through to early September 2026, including evening on-call (17:00-21:15) and overnight shifts (21:00-09:15). The department uses the Encompass electronic health record system — candidates must already be trained on Encompass for ad hoc shift bookings.
The role involves providing senior obstetric and gynaecological cover at registrar level, managing the labour ward, leading emergency gynaecology presentations, performing operative deliveries, and supervising junior staff. You will be expected to work independently while having consultant support available for complex cases.
Requirements: ST3+ level in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, professional indemnity insurance, minimum 2 professional references. UK experience in O&G required. NI experience and Encompass competency preferred.
