General Surgery Senior Clinical Fellow - Regional Neurosurgery Unit RVH

General Surgery locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £70/hr.

The Regional Neurosurgery Unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast requires a Senior Clinical Fellow locum for approximately 3 months with an immediate start. This post is equivalent to ST3+ level and sits within the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust General Surgery / Neurosurgery department.

Post details: Clinical Fellow in Neurosurgery at RVH working at the level equivalent to ST3+. The role will involve working within the Regional Neurosurgery service, one of Northern Ireland’s specialist surgical units.

Essential criteria:

• Full GMC registration plus licence to practise (both required at time of appointment)
• Completion of Basic Surgical Training with FRCS/MRCS or equivalent postgraduate qualification
• Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English (medical degree taught in English OR IELTS Overall 7.5 / Speaking 7 / Listening 7 / Reading 7 / Writing 7, OR OET medical version)
• Minimum ST3+ equivalent surgical experience
• AccessNI clearance (mandatory for all HSC locums in Northern Ireland)
• Right to work in the UK
• Professional indemnity insurance
• Two current professional references in surgery
• ALS/BLS certification
