Specialty Trainee - General Medicine

General Medicine locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £60–£70/hr assignment rate.

Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Specialty Trainee (IMT3+/ST3+) in General Medicine for a locum night shift at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH), part of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This is a night shift on 9 November 2026, 20:30–08:30, at a £50/hr assignment rate.

The role involves providing medical registrar cover on the acute medical take at the RVH. You will manage medical admissions, review acutely unwell patients, liaise with specialist teams, and supervise junior doctors on the night rota. The RVH is a major teaching hospital and the regional trauma centre for Northern Ireland.

Requirements include GMC registration with a licence to practise, IMT3+ or ST3+ level training in General Medicine or a medical subspecialty, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, and professional indemnity insurance.
