Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Locum Consultant in General Medicine for a position within the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland.
This is a day shift locum opportunity running from October 2026 to January 2027, offering an assignment rate of £100 per hour. The role is based at a Belfast HSC Trust hospital, part of the largest health and social care trust in Northern Ireland, providing services to approximately 340,000 people across the greater Belfast area.
As a Consultant General Medicine locum, you will deliver specialist-level acute and general medical care. Responsibilities include managing acute medical admissions, conducting ward rounds, leading the medical take, and overseeing the care of patients with a broad spectrum of medical conditions. You will work as part of a consultant-led team, liaising closely with emergency medicine, critical care, and specialty services to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Candidates should have substantial experience at Consultant level in General Internal Medicine, with the ability to manage complex, undifferentiated medical presentations independently. Familiarity with the HSC system in Northern Ireland is an advantage but not a requirement.
