General Medicine locum doctor position at Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £60–£70/hr assignment rate.
Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Specialty Doctor for a long-term locum assignment in Rheumatology at Craigavon Area Hospital, Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This assignment runs from September 2026 through to January 2027, covering weekday daytime shifts (09:00–17:00, Monday to Friday).
This is a substantive rota gap requiring ongoing daily cover in the rheumatology department. You will be responsible for outpatient rheumatology clinics, inpatient consultations, joint injection procedures, and the management of patients with inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, and other rheumatological conditions. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team including rheumatology nurse specialists and physiotherapists.
The rheumatology department at Craigavon Area Hospital is a busy service serving the Southern HSC Trust catchment area. Experience in managing biologic therapies, performing musculoskeletal ultrasound, and joint aspiration/injection is highly desirable. This is a Monday–Friday position with no on-call commitment.
Candidates must hold valid GMC registration with a licence to practise, have a right to work in the UK, and hold current DBS/AccessNI clearance. Specialty Doctor or Staff Grade experience in rheumatology or general medicine with rheumatology subspecialty experience is required. The £60/hr assignment rate applies.
