Middle Grade Locum - Programmed Treatment Unit (Royal Victoria Hospital)

General Medicine locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £60–£70/hr assignment rate.

Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Middle Grade locum doctor for the Programmed Treatment Unit (PTU) at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast HSC Trust. This is a 6-month assignment with potential to extend, offering a £60/hr assignment rate.

The PTU provides infusional therapies including Nmabs and anti-viral services. As the locum doctor on this unit, you will be responsible for prescribing infusional therapies, conducting patient reviews, performing IV cannulation, and liaising with relevant specialties as required. Full training will be provided for all PTU-specific procedures.

Shift times are 9am–5pm covering a 4-day week between Monday and Friday. This is an excellent opportunity for a middle grade doctor seeking a structured daytime role with no on-call commitment, while gaining experience in programmed treatment delivery.

Requirements include valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date AccessNI clearance, at least 6 months UK clinical experience (clinical attachments/observerships not accepted), Encompass training (will be provided), professional indemnity insurance, and two recent clinical references. ALS certification and full Regional Framework compliance documentation are required.
