Anaesthetics locum doctor position at Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £60–£70/hr assignment rate.
Locum Specialty Trainee (ST3+) required in Anaesthetics at Craigavon Area Hospital, Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This is a night shift on 5th November 2026, 20:30–09:15, at £50/hr assignment rate.
The anaesthetics department at Craigavon Area Hospital requires ST3+ locum cover for overnight on-call duties. Responsibilities include providing anaesthetic services across the hospital, emergency theatre cover, obstetric anaesthesia, and critical care support.
Candidates must be proficient with the EPIC electronic health record system. You must hold the Initial Assessment of Competence (IAC) and Initial Assessment of Competence in Obstetric Anaesthesia (IACOA), with a minimum of 2 years’ anaesthetics experience. You should be currently or recently employed in an anaesthetic role (within 12 months) and maintaining relevant CPD. Final approval remains at the discretion of the department.
Valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, current DBS/AccessNI clearance, and professional indemnity insurance are required. A minimum of two professional references are needed.
