General Medicine locum doctor position at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £70/hr.

We are seeking a Specialty Trainee (IMT3+/ST3+) for a locum General Medicine shift with Cardiology cover at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH), part of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This is a Friday day shift on 17 July 2026, 08:00–17:00, providing cardiology locum cover.

This role sits within the RVH Medicine and Cardiology Department and requires a doctor with demonstrable experience in acute general medicine at Registrar level. The post forms part of the STR (Senior Trainee Registrar) rota, which supports the busy Medical Assessment and Cardiology teams at one of Northern Ireland's busiest tertiary centres. Doctors working this shift will be expected to provide independent senior decision-making and support cardiology ward activity.

Candidates must hold full GMC registration with licence to practise, be eligible to work in the UK, and have up-to-date AccessNI clearance. Experience in Cardiology is essential for this cardiology-tagged shift. BHSCT requires full compliance with the HSC Regional Locum Framework requirements before submission.
