Grayscale Medical is recruiting a locum Paediatrics Registrar (Specialty Trainee) for the Western Health and Social Care Trust at Altnagelvin Hospital, Londonderry. This is an urgent locum paediatrics job in Northern Ireland covering a 3-month assignment from 30 April to 30 July 2026 at a £60–£70/hr assignment rate.
This locum paediatrics position in Northern Ireland offers an excellent opportunity to join the Altnagelvin paediatric team. The post requires full-time commitment for the duration of the contract and is ideal for a Specialty Trainee or Registrar-level doctor with paediatric experience. Preference will be given to Encompass-trained candidates; however, training can be provided where suitable trained candidates are not available.
The successful applicant must hold current valid GMC registration with a licence to practise, AccessNI clearance (DBS is not accepted in Northern Ireland), right to work in the UK, and up-to-date professional references relevant to the specialty and grade. CVs should include full employment history with explanations for any gaps.
This locum doctor opportunity in Paediatrics at Western Trust is suitable for ST3+ level or equivalent. Please note that clinical attachments and observership experience are not counted towards the required UK clinical experience.
