Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Specialty Trainee (ST4+) for a 3-month locum assignment in Paediatric Emergency Medicine at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children (RBHSC), Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This position offers a £60–£70/hr assignment rate at contracted NHS Framework rates.
This Paediatric ED locum job in Northern Ireland is based at the RBHSC, Northern Ireland’s dedicated children’s hospital. The successful candidate will work a full shift rota covering day shifts, long days, nights, and weekends within a high-volume paediatric emergency department. Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months’ experience in Paediatric Emergency as an ST4+ and must adhere to the department’s rota shifts, swaps, and leave process.
Mandatory training requirements include BMJ Hyponatraemia, Right Patient Right Blood online modules (Blood Components and Indications for Use, Safe Transfusion Practice, Consent for Transfusion), and Right Patient Right Blood practical competencies (Competency 1 – Obtaining a Venous Sample for Pre-Transfusion Testing; Competency 4 – Preparing and Administering a Transfusion of a Blood Component).
A fully completed LD1 form and full compliance document pack are mandatory. Applications without a completed LD1 form will not be considered. Contracted Framework rates only – non-framework rate applications will not be accepted. Belfast Trust does not provide travel or accommodation.
