SHO Cardiology Locum - Royal Victoria Hospital (Long-Term Assignment)

Grayscale Medical is recruiting an SHO doctor for a long-term Cardiology locum position at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH), Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This is an immediate-start assignment running until 4th August 2026, offering a £50–£55/hr assignment rate.

The RVH Cardiology department requires an SHO-level locum doctor with a minimum of six months NHS clinical experience, of which at least four months must be in Cardiology. This is a substantive locum role on the cardiology rota. Encompass training will be provided for the right candidate.

This is a competitive cardiology locum opportunity in Northern Ireland requiring strong clinical skills and demonstrable cardiology experience. Candidates must meet the Regional Framework Compliancy requirements in full, including AccessNI clearance (a DBS check is not accepted for Northern Ireland), right to work evidence, updated CV with no unexplained gaps, and two recent clinical references specific to the specialty and grade.

Additional requirements include ALS/ILS from an accredited Resuscitation Council UK course, Anti-coagulant Certificate, hyponatraemia certificate, infection control certificate, and RPRB transfusion competencies.
