We are recruiting a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine for a locum position at Altnagelvin Hospital, part of the Western Health and Social Care Trust, Londonderry/Derry. This post is required from ASAP through August 2026 (reference NG656).
Altnagelvin Hospital is the main acute hospital for the Western HSC Trust, serving a large population across Londonderry/Derry, Tyrone, and Fermanagh. The Respiratory Medicine department manages a broad range of acute and chronic conditions including COPD, asthma, pneumonia, pleural disease, lung cancer, and sleep-disordered breathing. This is a full consultant-level post supporting both inpatient ward activity and clinical service delivery.
Preference will be given to candidates with Encompass (electronic patient record) training, though training can be provided for suitably qualified candidates who are unavailable with prior Encompass experience. AccessNI is required for all locum appointments at Western HSC Trust.
Candidates must be on the Specialist Register with Consultant-grade status, hold full GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date AccessNI clearance, and valid professional indemnity insurance.
