Obstetrics & Gynaecology locum doctor position at Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £60–£70/hr assignment rate.
Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Specialty Trainee (ST3+ Registrar level) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology for a locum shift at Craigavon Area Hospital within Southern Health and Social Care Trust on 1st August 2026 (09:00-21:00).
This is a demanding registrar-level role with specific clinical competency requirements. The successful candidate must be competent in: biometry (HC, AC, FL, umbilical artery dopplers), forceps delivery, vacuum delivery, repair of third degree tears, manual removal of placenta, transvaginal scanning, and evacuation of uterus. Labour ward and gynaecology skills are essential for this shift.
Encompass electronic health record experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with previous Northern Ireland O&G experience will be given priority due to the specific scanning requirements and Encompass system familiarity. Satisfactory references within the past 18 months are required.
Requirements include valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date AccessNI clearance, professional indemnity insurance, and a minimum of 2 recent professional references. Demonstrated competency at ST3+ level in obstetrics and gynaecology is essential.
