Obstetrics & Gynaecology locum doctor position at Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £50–£55/hr assignment rate.
Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Core Trainee (SHO level) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology for ad hoc locum shifts at Daisy Hill Hospital within Southern Health and Social Care Trust. Shifts are available from late July through early August 2026, covering both day and evening patterns.
The successful candidate will provide SHO-level cover within the O&G department, managing labour ward admissions, antenatal and postnatal ward patients, gynaecology emergencies, and supporting the registrar on-call team. Shift patterns include long days (09:00-21:15) and evening shifts (17:00-21:15).
Daisy Hill Hospital provides consultant-led maternity services and a busy gynaecology service for the Southern Trust area. This is an opportunity for core trainees seeking flexible locum work in O&G.
Requirements include valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date AccessNI clearance, professional indemnity insurance, and a minimum of 2 professional references. Experience at SHO/CT level in obstetrics and gynaecology is required.
