Grayscale Medical is recruiting a middle-grade (ST3+/IMT3+) locum doctor for the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, part of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. Multiple shifts available from mid-July through early August 2026 at £50/hr assignment rate.
You will provide registrar-level medical cover in the SDEC unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital. SDEC provides rapid assessment and same-day treatment for acute medical patients who would otherwise require emergency admission. The role involves autonomous clinical decision-making, patient assessment, investigation ordering, treatment initiation, and safe discharge planning.
Shifts cover a mix of day patterns (08:00-16:00, 09:00-17:00, and 13:00-21:00) across weekdays and weekends. Ten shifts available between 16 July and 5 August 2026.
