Locum Specialty Doctor in General Medicine at Downe Hospital, Downpatrick, within the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust. This is a daytime locum position paying an assignment rate of £60.00 per hour, starting 4th August 2026 for an initial period through to November 2026.
The role involves providing acute medical care within the General Medicine department at Downe Hospital. You will be expected to manage medical admissions, conduct ward rounds, review acutely unwell patients, and contribute to the medical on-call rota. The position suits an experienced doctor comfortable working at Specialty Doctor level across a broad range of general medical presentations.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality patient care in an acute hospital setting. Experience in acute medicine, elderly care, or general internal medicine is advantageous.
