General Medicine locum doctor position at Western Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland — £50–£55/hr assignment rate.
Locum Core Trainee (SHO grade) required for a night shift in General Medicine at Altnagelvin Hospital, Western Health and Social Care Trust. The shift runs from 21:00 on 24th July to 10:00 on 25th July 2026, at the £50/hr assignment rate.
This position covers overnight medical on-call duties within the General Medicine department at Altnagelvin, one of the Western Trust's principal acute sites serving the North West region. The successful doctor will be responsible for clerking acute medical admissions, managing the medical take, reviewing deteriorating patients, and providing overnight ward cover.
Candidates must be at SHO level (FY2, CT, IMT, or GP trainee equivalent) with valid GMC registration and a licence to practise. HSE Encompass training is mandatory for this post — CVs without Encompass training will not be considered. AccessNI clearance is required for all locums working within the Western Trust.
